About us

Our work
The Dunmunkle Land Protection Group (DLPG) is based in Victoria’s Wimmera Region – renowned for its prime agricultural land. We want to ensure that prime farming land continues to provide food for our nation and is not taken over by a mining company.
We have come together in response to a mining licence being granted in our region, in Western Victoria. We are working to raise national awareness of this situation which threatens some of Australia’s leading food bowls.
We will stand strong, act cleverly and advocate for farming families and rural communities in the impacted region.
Our history
The DLPG was originally formed in 1990 in response to mining activity in our area. Thirty-five years and several farming generations later, we find ourselves back in this situation – where prime agricultural land is under threat.
You will find an overview of our beginnings and first report here.
